Role Overview - Data Engineering Manager
This role is pivotal in building and scaling the vendor universe by designing, developing, and optimizing large-scale data pipelines. Reporting to the Senior Director of Data Engineering, you will lead the team, implement best practices, and work with cutting-edge technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines.
- Establish best practices in data modeling, orchestration, and system reliability.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Work extensively with Databricks, Airflow, PySpark, and SQL.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex pipeline issues.
- Mentor and lead team members through challenges and code reviews.
What We’re Looking For
- 6+ years in Data Engineering or related technical roles.
- 2+ years of managerial experience.
- Strong expertise in SQL, PySpark, and distributed data systems.
- Experience with Airflow and familiarity with other orchestration tools.
- Ability to deliver reliable and scalable data solutions under tight deadlines.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI/ML, vector search, or Elasticsearch.
- Familiarity with Django or similar web frameworks.
