As a Consumer Product Marketing Manager, you will define and execute strategies that connect consumers to Yelp’s products, drive feature adoption, and shape market perception. Working cross-functionally with Marketing, Product, Analytics, and Growth teams, you will gather insights, develop compelling positioning, and lead go-to-market plans that produce measurable business results. The role requires a blend of strategy, analysis, and storytelling; with a special focus on leveraging AI and emerging technologies in marketing.
What You'll Do
- Assess market needs and conduct research to influence product development.
- Analyze competitive landscapes and customer needs for strategic insights.
- Drive feature gap analyses to improve products based on data and feedback.
- Develop segmentation, positioning, and value propositions through consumer insights.
- Lead go-to-market launches in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Create cohesive messaging frameworks and compelling copy across channels.
- Execute product storytelling and campaign strategies to drive engagement.
- Utilize AI tools to enhance consumer insights, marketing strategies, and campaign effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Growth, Social, PR, and Community teams on content strategy.
- Maintain strong organizational, analytical, and leadership skills.
What It Takes To Succeed
- 7-10 years of product or consumer marketing experience.
- Expertise in market research, competitive analysis, and audience segmentation.
- Proven track record in crafting effective positioning and messaging.
- Strong copywriting ability to turn complex ideas into clear narratives.
- Experience partnering with design and content teams for consistent messaging.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and project management skills.
- Enthusiasm for applying AI solutions in product marketing.
