Overview

Yahoo Mail, with hundreds of millions of users, seeks a Google Cloud Architect to join the Digital Transform team. In this role, you will lead the strategy of migrating to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) while aligning with business objectives and technical architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead architectural development and migration of Mail Infrastructure to GCP.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
  • Design and implement cloud-based solutions using industry best practices.
  • Drive cost optimizations and review architectural designs for flexibility and maintainability.
  • Provide oversight on portfolio decisions and consult on technical designs.
  • Guide and mentor Application and Infrastructure Architects for smooth processes.
  • Develop prototypes and evaluate new technologies for cross-platform solutions.

Qualifications

  • 12+ years in software development with a focus on Java and backend technologies.
  • 5+ years of experience with Google Cloud and cloud migration projects.
  • Solid understanding of database management (SQL/NoSQL) and big data analysis.
  • Proficiency in Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and designing highly available systems.
  • Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies and strong communication skills.
  • Bonus: GCP Certifications like Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect.
