About the Role

The Yahoo Data Engineer Consumer Data AI ML role connects brands and partners with hundreds of millions of people. You will design, develop and maintain data pipelines using GCP services, work with GA4 data, and generate actionable insights through business intelligence tooling.

Team and Impact

Join the Yahoo Consumer Data Team managing a petabyte warehouse to glean insights from Yahoo Media products. Your work influences product changes and improves user experiences across Yahoo properties.

Responsibilities

  • Build, test, and maintain data pipelines with BigQuery, Dataflow, and Cloud Storage.
  • Work with Google Analytics 4 (GA4) data and event-based data models.
  • Extract and integrate data using GA Reporting API and GA4 Data Streams.
  • Design and optimize database schemas and data models.
  • Ensure data quality with validation checks and error monitoring.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and automate dashboards for key metrics and trends.
  • Troubleshoot data issues and improve data infrastructure.
  • Stay updated with GCP and Google Analytics best practices.

Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Passion for AI/ML and modern technologies.
  • Experience or interest in GCP services (BigQuery, Dataproc, Composer, Dataflow, etc.) or AWS equivalent.
  • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL processes, and BI tools like Google Analytics or Looker.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary ranges from $76,500 to $159,375 per year. Benefits include healthcare, 401k, backup childcare, education stipends, and more.
