About You

Xsolla is seeking a Video Streaming Engineer who is innovative, detail-oriented, and passionate about building high-performance video streaming solutions. You will thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, architecting, optimizing, and maintaining advanced video streaming pipelines and infrastructure for global audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop video streaming pipelines using GStreamer, FFmpeg, and CEF.
  • Implement support for multiple video codecs (H.264, HEVC, VP8, VP9, AV1, VVC) and containers/protocols (FLV, HLS, RTMP, SRT, MPEG TS, MP4).
  • Build and deploy containerized streaming solutions using Docker.
  • Develop low-latency, high-performance video processing modules in Rust and C++.
  • Integrate Chromium Embedded Framework into compositing pipelines.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize streaming quality and reliability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver seamless video experiences.
  • Document architecture, processes, and best practices.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Proven experience with GStreamer and FFmpeg.
  • Hands-on experience with Chromium Embedded Framework.
  • Proficiency in Docker and containerized deployments.
  • Strong programming skills in Rust and C++.
  • Deep understanding of modern video codecs, containers, and protocols.
  • Solid grasp of network protocols and real-time media delivery.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with cloud-based video streaming infrastructure (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Familiarity with DRM, adaptive bitrate streaming, and content protection.
  • Knowledge of WebRTC or similar real-time communication technologies.
  • Background in gaming, live streaming, or interactive media.
