Overview

The Device Test Engineer at XPT Software Australia is responsible for configuring and capturing handset logs, reviewing signalling traces, ensuring emergency call standards compliance, troubleshooting across multiple domains, and producing technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure and capture handset logs using tools such as Qualcomm QXDM, MTK, Samsung, and Apple logging tools.
  • Review and analyze 3GPP RAN and Core signalling traces including NAS, SIP/IMS, RRC, S1AP, NGAP, and Diameter.
  • Apply knowledge of 3GPP emergency call procedures and local Australian requirements (ACMA, AS/CA S042).
  • Troubleshoot and correlate logs from RAN, Core, IMS, and devices to identify call flow issues.
  • Prepare clear technical reports and analysis summaries with actionable recommendations.
