Job Description

Xplor is seeking a visionary leader for the Director of Data & AI Platforms role. You will define and execute a strategy to transform raw data into a core enterprise asset and a driver of commercial value through advanced analytics and AI. This role involves leadership of a team of data architects and engineers to build, scale, and optimize our enterprise data and AI platform based on Snowflake and modern data transformation frameworks.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive vision for data and AI strategy, championing data as a product and unlocking business value.
  • Team Development & Mentorship: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team aligned with business objectives.
  • Modern Data & AI Stack Architecture: Design a unified data architecture, standardize ingestion, and orchestrate robust data and ML pipelines.
  • Data & AI Productization: Drive data product strategy from conception to launch including predictive models and AI-driven applications.
  • Financial & Performance Management: Manage platform budgets and demonstrate ROI on data initiatives.
  • Data Governance & Quality: Establish pragmatic frameworks ensuring quality, security, and compliance.
  • Execution & Delivery: Lead automated, scalable integration, transformation, and modeling processes using modern frameworks.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with leadership and technical teams to align business needs with data strategies.

Qualifications

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field, along with 10+ years in data roles and 5+ years in a leadership capacity. A strong track record in architecting enterprise-level AI/ML initiatives and deep experience with Snowflake, modern data frameworks, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure) is required.

Additional Information

This role offers an average base salary range of $180,000 to $200,000 annually with potential discretionary bonus. Note that candidates must be legally authorized to work in the country of application and Xplor does not sponsor visas. Apply through our careers portal!
