About the Role
XpertDirect is seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer to lead the design and development of high-performance electronics for embedded and connected products. This role encompasses the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and feasibility studies through validation and final production release. As a Senior Electronics Design Engineer, you will be a pivotal member of the product development team, collaborating closely with firmware, systems, and manufacturing teams to deliver robust, production-ready hardware specifically for industrial and connected device environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems.
- Create and review schematics and multi-layer PCB layouts.
- Perform component selection, derating analysis, and validation.
- Support hardware bring-up, debugging, and root-cause analysis.
- Collaborate closely with embedded software engineers during integration.
- Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with EMC, signal integrity, and power integrity requirements.
- Support prototyping, testing, and transition to manufacturing.
- Contribute to documentation including schematics, BoMs, and test reports.
Required Experience & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in electronics hardware design.
- Strong proficiency with Altium Designer (or similar EDA tools).
- Solid background in mixed-signal design (analog + digital).
- Experience with microcontrollers, power supplies, communication interfaces (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN).
- Understanding of EMC, signal integrity, grounding, and power design principles.
- Experience supporting board bring-up and lab debugging.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and DFM/DFT principles.
Nice to Have
- Experience in industrial, automotive, or IoT products.
- Knowledge of high-speed interfaces.
- Experience with compliance testing.
