What We Seek and Main Responsibilities

As a Data Scientist, with support from the Data Science & Machine Learning Center of Excellence, this person will be responsible for building data products to optimize decision-making within the company, such as classification/regression models, heuristic optimization, and statistical analyses.

Main Responsibilities

• Conduct studies and analyses with large volumes of data to support strategic decisions;
• Develop a variety of machine learning models to solve specific problems and optimize processes;
• Participate in and lead meetings with stakeholders to align expectations and communicate results;
• Collaborate with teams from different areas (such as engineering, marketing, and product) to understand business needs and translate them into data-driven solutions.
• Perform rigorous tests and validations of implemented models and solutions, ensuring the quality and reliability of results.

Application Prerequisites

• Practical knowledge of Python, with experience in building, training, and evaluating machine learning models.
• Knowledge in statistics, probability, statistical modeling techniques, machine learning, optimization, and recommendation systems.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop data-driven solutions, approaching business issues with an analytical mindset.
• Passion for technology and innovation, with an active interest in staying updated on ML trends and best practices.
• Communication skills to interact with different areas, stakeholders, and fellow data scientists.
• Reside in São Paulo and be available to work in a hybrid model (3 days a week).

Desirable Qualifications

• Practical experience in Databricks.
• Knowledge and experience in manipulating and analyzing financial data, with the ability to extract relevant insights for the sector.
• Practical knowledge of the Kedro framework, with experience in its application to efficiently structure and manage data science projects.
• Experience with linear optimization models.
