Job Description
Performance Testing Expert Architect
Join XM as a Performance Testing Expert Architect and contribute to the performance, scalability, and reliability of trading platforms. This role involves hands-on performance testing and analysis in a high-throughput, low-latency environment.
Responsibilities
- Define and refine performance testing strategy.
- Develop and maintain K6 scripts using JavaScript/TypeScript.
- Execute load, stress, and soak tests on REST and GraphQL APIs.
- Monitor and analyze test results using Grafana and Prometheus.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
- Apply best practices in Spring Boot, JVM, and microservices.
- Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins).
- Mentor junior engineers as role evolves.
Main Requirements
- BSc/MSc in Computer Science or related discipline.
- 5+ years in QA; 2+ years in performance testing using K6 or Gatling.
- Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript for test scripts.
- Experience with API performance testing and caching strategies.
- Familiarity with Spring Boot and microservices.
- Experience in Docker/Kubernetes environments.
- Knowledge of monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.
- CI/CD integration experience with GitLab CI and Jenkins.
