About the Azure Cloud Architect Role at XIBIX Solutions

As an Azure Cloud Architect, you will conceive, develop, and design modern cloud architectures with a strong focus on Microsoft Azure. You will work on complex cloud and infrastructure projects, define standards and best practices, and ensure secure, scalable, and high-performing cloud solutions.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and further develop operating models for cloud platforms, focusing on Microsoft Azure.
• Develop and maintain cloud architecture standards, blueprints, and best practices.
• Design and establish sustainable security and management processes for cloud applications and services.
• Ensure the security, scalability, and performance of cloud-based solutions.
• Manage requirements and analyze processes, taking technical leadership in projects.
• Collaborate closely with software development teams to ensure integration and automation.
• Support architectural decisions and communicate them to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Monitor and optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

Your Profile

• Successfully completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in a cloud and infrastructure environment.
• Extensive practical experience in designing and operating cloud infrastructures, with deep technical expertise in Microsoft Azure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Experience with at least one other hyperscaler such as AWS, GCP, or Alibaba Cloud (multi-cloud environments).
• Profound knowledge of cloud architectures, software development processes (DevOps, CI/CD), and cloud security best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, and a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
• Ability to define a clear technical vision and support its implementation across various stakeholder groups.
• Additional qualifications such as Microsoft Azure certifications, experience with hybrid cloud architectures, knowledge of cloud sovereignty concepts, or observability tools (e.g., Grafana, Prometheus) are a plus.
• Fluent German and very good English language skills.
