Role Overview

As the Product & Data Counsel at xAI, you will exercise your legal acumen to negotiate, draft, and review licensing and strategic agreements including data licenses, intellectual property agreements, development agreements, and partnership agreements. You will collaborate closely with the engineering, product, sales, finance and legal teams to overcome obstacles to product releases and successes.

Key Responsibilities

• Negotiate, draft, and review various legal agreements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support product releases
• Design legal structures to streamline product sales
• Mitigate litigation risks and handle intellectual property matters
• Support the legal department with a wide range of tasks

Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of legal experience with tech and law firm background
• In-house experience as product, IP, or litigation counsel
• Strong ownership, inquisitiveness, and problem-solving skills
• JD and California license to practice law
• Based in or willing to relocate to the SF Bay Area with in-office Palo Alto requirements

Additional Information

This is an in-person role based in Palo Alto, CA with up to 25% travel. The annual salary ranges from $200,000 to $350,000 USD and includes a competitive benefits package such as equity, comprehensive health coverage, a 401(k) plan, and more. xAI is an equal opportunity employer.
