About the Role
As a Video Specialist, you will contribute to xAI's mission by training and refining Grok's ability to interpret and generate video content with precision and technical depth. Your expertise in video editing, motion graphics, or VFX is essential.
Responsibilities
- Use proprietary software to label, annotate, and input video data.
- Provide high-quality curated data capturing motion, timing, and transitions.
- Critically analyze video sequences on a technical level.
- Work closely with teams to ensure accurate visual effects integration.
Required Qualifications
- Portfolio showcasing excellence in video editing, motion graphics, or VFX.
- Proficiency in tools like Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects, or Nuke.
- Ability to analyze and articulate video technicalities.
- Strong communication and analytical skills.
Additional Details
Tutor roles may be full-time, part-time, or contractor positions. The position is performed remotely from any location worldwide (with specific time-zone compatibility requirements). US candidates note that hiring is not available in Wyoming and Illinois at this time. Training will be held from 9:00am - 5:30pm PST initially.
Applicants must have reliable access to a smartphone and use a compliant personal device (Chromebook, Mac with MacOS 11.0+, or Windows 10+). Visa sponsorship is not provided.
Compensation & Benefits
US based candidates: $45/hour - $75/hour depending on experience and qualifications. International candidates will receive further details during recruitment. Benefits vary by employment type and include health insurance, 401(k), and paid sick leave for eligible US positions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with compositing, rotoscoping, or motion tracking workflows.
- Familiarity with AI video generation tools like Grok Imagine or similar.
- Experience with 3D integration and post-production automation (e.g., Python, plugins).
