About the Team

The Accounting and Settlement team is responsible for reviewing client accounts, preparing and issuing periodic statements, reconciling accounting entries, and ensuring accurate recording of receipts, payments, and journals. They ensure excellent account management by completing all account payable & receivable activities within agreed timelines while maintaining quality benchmarks and adhering to group policies.

Job Summary

This role involves resolving transaction discrepancies, managing uncorrelated cash, outstanding debts, and settling balances with clients, underwriters, and insurers. Responsibilities also include processing payments, reviewing bank statements, performing end-of-day reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records. Regular coordination with clients, underwriters, and internal teams via email and voice is required.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processing payment requests in compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Reconciling incoming and outgoing statements for clients and carriers.
  • Performing daily cash management and posting to ledgers.
  • Investigating discrepancies and ensuring proper cash allocation within SLAs.
  • Managing ledger maintenance and updating records.
  • Handling document and backup requests within agreed timelines.
  • Escalating urgent issues and unresolved queries to the line manager.
  • Adhering to group policies and regulatory guidelines.
  • Participating in team meetings and supporting key initiatives.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong communication using clear business English.
  • Understanding of account receivable and payable processes.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to learn new processes and systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
  • Any Graduate qualification required.
