Microsoft Power Platform Developer
We are looking for a skilled Power Platform Developer with 3-5 years of experience in building and deploying enterprise-grade applications using Microsoft Power Platform and Microsoft 365 technologies. You will work within the Digital Solutions team to build scalable, secure, and high-performing business applications used across major global infrastructure and environmental projects. This is an exciting opportunity to support the ongoing development of digital solutions for our clients, unlocking solutions to the world’s most critical challenges. This includes the delivery of future net zero, renewable energy, transport, and water infrastructure solutions in the UK and globally. You will take a consultant-based role in our established Digital Solutions team, working with the latest Microsoft 365 technologies, helping deliver high-quality, bespoke solutions to our clients. The role is a blend of development, operations, and system administration to assist in expanding the deployment of our templated solutions.
Responsibilities
- Working within a UK-based team of digital specialists focused on the development, deployment, and testing of our templated M365 and Power Platforms solutions.
- Supporting the existing and continued development of our O365 product and solution.
- Developing and maintaining our current SharePoint online solutions and in-house-built applications and automated flows.
- Supporting the design, development, and delivery of complex bespoke solutions (part of a team or working under own supervision).
- Designing and implementing automated flows to support the regular auditing process for deployed solutions.
- Developing Custom Connectors to integrate third-party APIs and internal services.
- Building and configuring PCF (Power Apps Component Framework) controls using TypeScript and frameworks like React for rich UI experiences.
- Following governance, ALM practices, versioning, and environment management guidelines.
- Creating and maintaining deployment documents, technical notes, and support guides.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions using Power Apps (Canvas, Model Driven).
- Strong experience with Power Automate, expressions, API calls, triggers, and error handling.
- Good understanding of Dataverse tables, relations, security roles, and business rules.
- Strong working knowledge of SQL (queries, joins, basic optimization), SharePoint Online, lists, libraries, REST APIs, and permissions.
- Experience using Microsoft Graph API via Power Automate, Custom Connectors authentication types, throttling limits, and Swagger/Open API definitions.
- Experience building PCF controls with TypeScript, React, or similar frameworks.
- Knowledge of Power Pages, Liquid templates, Dataverse forms, and site security.
- Familiarity with JSON, Fetch XML, OData queries, and REST-based integrations.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and requirement-to-design translation skills. Exposure to GitHub or Azure DevOps for basic ALM is a plus.
- Ability to design clean, intuitive, and responsive Power Apps screens, following UI/UX best practices, accessibility standards, and consistent enterprise styling. Experience with UI/UX or prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) is advantageous.
- Skilled in creating user-friendly app experiences using layouts, galleries, forms, theming, and modern styling patterns to improve usability and navigation inside Power Apps with reusable components.
- Experience building Power BI dashboards and reports, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and interactive visualizations.
- Ability to integrate Power BI with Power Apps, Power Automate, and Dataverse for unified analytics and app experiences.
- Understanding of data refresh, gateway configuration, roles, and workspace management for secure enterprise reporting.
- An interest in, or experience with, AI and emerging technologies, and how these can be applied to business solutions, is desirable.

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- With at least 3+ years of experience in Microsoft Power Platform Technology.
