Job Description
Assistant Transport Modeller
WSP in India is seeking a motivated Assistant Transport Modeller to join our dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and develop your career within a leading global professional services firm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic modelling using Saturn or VISUM software.
- Utilize supporting tools such as GIS, Excel VBA, and Python.
- Apply detailed knowledge of UK Transport Planning and modeling guidelines.
- Understand the theories and limitations of various software.
- Support the successful delivery of high-quality projects on time and within budget.
- Conduct required checks and reviews of the iCRC team’s analysis and designs.
- Understand contract scopes and project deliverables.
- Coordinate with Senior Engineers and support graduate team members.
- Research and review design options for both technical and economic impact.
- Support line managers in planning resource needs and escalating concerns.
- Provide feedback on team performance and development needs.
- Assess and manage technical project risks in conjunction with line managers.
- Support the company’s approach to sustainability.
- Attend and contribute to team and project meetings.
- Complete accurate timesheets by the set deadline.
- Provide feedback on all business development opportunities.
Qualifications:
- BEng/BSc (Hon) or equivalent discipline with a minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience.
- Member or working towards membership of an associated Professional Body.
- Experienced user of Microsoft Office Suite.
