About the role
Assistant Engineer Rivers and Flood
Join WSP in India's specialist Design team in Bengaluru as an Assistant Rivers & Flood Engineer. This role offers excellent opportunities for career progression, with support for development and future career growth. You will gain experience in project development and delivery, from feasibility to construction, supporting the preparation of designs and specifications under senior supervision.
Responsibilities
- Deliver a wide variety of civil engineering river and flood related schemes.
- Develop outline and detailed designs for flood projects, including hydraulic systems, flood defences, drainage, and ancillary structures.
- Prepare and support business cases and economic assessments for flood protection works.
- Prepare works information and specifications for contractors.
- Detail asset inspection works for above and below ground structures.
- Collaborate with local authorities and national environmentally based organisations.

Qualifications
Mandatory Skills:
- Minimum two years' experience in a consultancy environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic understanding and working knowledge of UK standards.
- Experience with ICM and other hydraulic modelling tools (Innovyze and Bentley).
- Aptitude in Civils3D; proficiency in Bentley Openroads is advantageous.
- Proficient in standard MS Office software.
Qualifications:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent analytical science subject.
