WSP is growing and has an opportunity for an experienced and dynamic Director, Project Controls to lead our organization’s project controls function. You will oversee project scheduling, cost control, and performance tracking to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the project controls team including planners, schedulers, and cost controllers.
• Develop standardized processes and methodologies across scheduling, budgeting, and risk management.
• Support major projects from setup to performance recovery with detailed oversight.
• Monitor budgets and schedules, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare performance reports including earned value analysis and cost forecasts for senior management.
• Collaborate with all stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and transparency.
• Continuously evaluate and improve project controls tools and processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related field.
• 10+ years experience in project controls or project management with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Strong knowledge of project control software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project.
• Excellent analytical, budgeting, scheduling and risk assessment skills.
• Strong leadership with excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Professional certifications like PMP, PMI-SP or CCP.
• Experience in establishing or improving project controls frameworks.
• Proficiency in earned value management and advanced performance measurement techniques.
