Entry-level Legal Writer - Business Immigration at WR Immigration

About the Role

As a Legal Writer, you will be an integral part of our Writing Team, working collaboratively with legal support staff. This team is vital for the preparation and filing of key immigration cases, including O, EB-1A, EB-1B, NIW applications, and RFE responses. Your contributions will directly impact the successful outcomes of numerous cases handled by our firm.

Legal Writer Responsibilities:

  • Collect and review documents from petitioners.
  • Conduct internet research for relevant case facts.
  • Complete case-related forms using provided information.
  • Draft persuasive and detailed case documents, including support letters and complex RFE responses.
  • Compile case exhibits in an organized and efficient manner.
  • Assemble exhibits and case documents into a cohesive case file for printing and submission.
  • Accurately and consistently enter data into internal data management platforms.
  • Assist in drafting client communications regarding visa instructions, approval notices, and welcome packages, under senior guidance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree with a strong academic record and demonstrated legal writing exposure (e.g., paralegal studies, political science).
  • Exceptional writing ability, with excellent command of grammar, clarity, and structure.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven and effective writing ability.
  • Strong organization, process, and computer skills.
  • Coachability and willingness to learn, receptive to feedback, and comfortable working within structured workflows with revisions.
  • Tools & systems fluency: Ability to quickly learn and use new platforms, following structured workflows (templates, SOPs, checklists).
  • Experience with advanced document formatting, comments, versioning, project management tools (Asana, ClickUp, Notion), legal research platforms, and CMS platforms is a plus.

Salary and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is $55,000 to $70,000, varying based on location and experience.
