About the Team
The Central Operations team defines how the World project comes to life in the field. They design the service model, ensure operators succeed at scale, and drive quality, compliance, and user trust. This team partners with Product, Customer Experience, Marketing, Legal, Comms, Logistics, and Operations to make World accessible, reliable, and human-centered in every market.
About the Role
The Central Operations Lead owns and evolves global partner lifecycle, compliance, and location quality programs to ensure Project Orbital runs excellently at scale. The role bridges policy and execution, managing high-volume, time-sensitive workflows while continuously improving systems and programs for worldwide deployment.
Core Responsibilities
- Program Execution & Evolution: Lead and improve global programs for real-time compliance and accountability, build back-office tools, enforce policies, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Collaboration with Product: Partner with Product Managers, draft PRDs, and coordinate pilots for new tools and workflows.
- Insights & Communication: Provide timely reporting, serve as a bridge between Central Ops and local teams.
- Operational Efficiency & Vendor Management: Manage vendor and contractor workflows, drive negotiations, procurement, and resource delivery.
- Leadership & Coaching: Provide feedback, mentor team members, and influence planning and timelines across programs.
About You
- 6–8+ years experience in operations or program management in fast-scaling environments.
- Proven track record in managing daily operational workflows at scale and system improvements.
- Experience working with Product teams; drafting PRDs and participating in testing cycles.
- Strong judgment, excellent cross-functional communication, and vendor management skills.
- Hands-on mindset with strategic program thinking and executional detail.
