The Solutions Consulting & Engineering (SC&E) Team

Your Role as Lead Solutions Architect Automation Solutions
As a Lead Solutions Architect within the Automation Solutions team, you will operate as a player-coach—driving new business opportunities while actively supporting and mentoring fellow Solution Architects. You will engage directly with clients to identify their needs, align appropriate technologies and capabilities, and structure competitive solutions that deliver superior outcomes for both the customer and WWT. Your expertise will be crucial in mitigating risks, showcasing the value of WWT services, and cultivating lasting client relationships.
Beyond your individual pursuits, you will contribute significantly to scaling the team's success by offering deal guidance, reinforcing opportunity governance, and sharing best practices. By balancing your personal contributions with effective coaching, you will promote a collaborative and disciplined approach, enhancing solution quality and positioning the practice for sustained growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Solutioning & Collaboration: Own technical and solutioning work for automation pursuits, collaborating with sales and clients to define use cases, scope opportunities, and translate business requirements into clear solution architectures and proposals. Lead client-facing discovery, validate data sources, technical feasibility, delivery approach, and value assumptions to ensure realistic and differentiated solutions aligned with client priorities. Qualify and advance automation opportunities, assessing fit, complexity, value potential, and delivery readiness while maintaining accountability for progression and handoff.
- Team Support & Coaching: Serve as the central owner of opportunity governance, ensuring consistency in how opportunities are evaluated, shaped, and advanced across the team. Support fellow Solution Architects by sharing best practices and providing deal guidance to strengthen solution quality. Foster collaboration across sales and delivery teams, reinforcing a disciplined and scalable approach to automation opportunities.
- Delivery Alignment: Partner with sales and delivery teams to align expansion strategy, scope, and sequencing, ensuring opportunities are positioned for successful execution and follow-on growth. Create and maintain pursuit-to-delivery artifacts such as solution overviews, scope definitions, and procedural documentation for clean handoff and consistent execution.
- Continuous Learning: Drive continuous improvement by exploring new tools, technologies, and processes. Maintain required knowledge of company-offered solutions, including assigned courses and relevant certification exams. Serve as a resource for the team on industry trends, sales methodologies, and best practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, system architecture, computer science, information systems, engineering, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in customer engagement, solution design, or technology delivery, with leadership experience preferred.
- Ability to ask insightful questions to understand business problems and identify measurable objectives.
- Deep understanding of the sales process and customer lifecycle.
- Proven track record of successfully working with Fortune 500 clients.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills, capable of interacting with all levels of management.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to generate creative solutions to difficult or ambiguous problems in a group setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and business visualization skills.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated base pay range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000 annually. Actual salary will vary based on factors like shift, location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure, certification, and business needs. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation. WWT offers a comprehensive benefits package to all full-time employees, including:
