We are looking for paid participants to record videos of everyday activities while wearing a head-mounted camera. Your recordings will help robotics systems learn to perceive, understand, and interact with real-world environments.You’ll record yourself doing tasks you already do in daily life, such as:
- Folding laundry
- Preparing or cooking food
- Cleaning, tidying, or organizing items
- Rearranging or sorting objects
If you’re detail-oriented, comfortable performing everyday tasks, and want to earn additional income while contributing to cutting-edge robotics research, we’d love to work with you!
What to Expect
- Weekly footage goal: Capture at least 10 hours of clear, intentional arm, hand, and finger movements interacting with objects (e.g., folding clothes, using a screwdriver). Avoid low-value activities such as typing, using your phone, or sitting idle.
- Uploads & quality checks: Upload videos to Google Drive on time, perform basic quality checks, and track your daily filming progress.
- Compensation: Paid based on total usable footage. Unusable footage includes dark videos, clips showing only fingers (not full hands/arms), idle activities, or videos capturing personal information.
- Project duration: Month-to-month, giving you flexibility

- Picking up, placing, and organizing objects

- Reaching and placing objects at varying distances
Compliance & Participation Requirements
To ensure project success, participants are expected to:- Meet the required filming hours
- Follow all submission guidelines
Who You Are
- Own a smartphone with a wide camera (0.5x zoom) capable of 1080p / 30 FPS
- Have access to a computer/laptop and stable internet for uploads
- Able to follow detailed instructions carefully
- Comfortable performing light physical tasks
- Able to move naturally, slowly, and deliberately during recordings
- Familiar with uploading and organizing files in Google Drive
Compensation
- $2 USD/hour for the first 10 hours (initial period)
- $3 USD/hour for all subsequent approved footage
Bonuses
- $10 USD headgear reimbursement after first 10 hours (regardless of approval)
- $10 USD bonus after next 10 hours of approved footage
- $20 USD bonus after reaching 50 approved hours within the first month
Payment Terms
- Paid only for approved, qualified footage
- Payments processed via Deel monthly
- Footage must be submitted and approved within the payout cycle
- Late-month starters receive payment in the following cycle
