About the Summer Intern - CPX Systems Role at Workiva
As a Summer Intern - CPX Systems, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the resolution of business problems by collaborating closely with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Your responsibilities will include process mapping current states, identifying critical areas for improvement, and meticulously documenting in-progress updates to support comprehensive documentation and stakeholder change management efforts. Additionally, you will be tasked with gathering, documenting, and analyzing business needs and requirements, and where necessary, designing innovative technical solutions.
What You'll Do
- Interact with business stakeholders and subject matter experts to understand their problems and needs.
- Gather, document, and analyze business needs and requirements.
- Process map current state, identify areas for improvement, and capture updates for documentation and change management.
- Analyze existing processes for improvement opportunities or gaps.
- Identify business problems and, as needed, design technical solutions.
What You'll Need
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Business, Management Information Systems, or a related field of study.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong problem-solving skills, including addressing technical challenges and applying critical thinking.
- Proficient documentation and writing skills, with the ability to articulate requirements for both technical and end-user teams.
- Excellent time management and active listening skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills, enabling effective interaction with both technical and end-user audiences.
- Ability to identify and implement creative solutions that meet or exceed business needs.
- Experience with Google Docs and Spreadsheets, as well as Microsoft Office.
- Familiarity with Jira & Confluence.
Travel Requirements & Working Conditions
- Minimal travel is expected.
- Reliable internet access is required for any periods of remote work outside a Workiva office.
Sponsorship Requirements
- Must be authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship now or in the future.
When You Can Expect to Hear Back
Workiva is committed to connecting with all potential candidates. This position may remain open without immediate updates for a few weeks. Interviews are scheduled for early to mid-March, with offers extended mid-to-late March 2026. Summer 2026 internships begin Monday, May 18, 2026 (40 hours per week maximum).
How You’ll Be Rewarded
