About the role

Senior Designer, Corporate Communications

Workiva is seeking a skilled, hands-on Senior Designer, Corporate Communications to be the dedicated creative partner for our Corporate and Internal Communications teams. This role sits within the Creative team in Marketing and covers a broad portfolio, including employee newsletters, all-hands presentations, digital signage, sustainability reports, annual reports, quarterly board decks, and investor day materials.

This is a high-craft, high-output role for a designer who takes ownership, thrives on variety, and understands the precision required for executive and corporate communications. You will work within established design systems, collaborate closely with Corporate Communications teams, and partner with colleagues across the Creative team to deliver polished, on-brand work.

What You'll Do

Design & Craft
  • Design and produce a wide range of corporate communications assets: all-hands and town hall presentations, email and newsletter templates, digital signage, intranet visuals, print materials, sustainability reports, annual reports, quarterly board decks, and investor day materials.
  • Actively contribute to and iterate on the internal design system, scaling templates and component libraries for consistency, quality, and efficiency.
  • Translate complex, high-level corporate briefs into clear, precise, and visually compelling narratives, managing multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.
  • Collaborate with the Video & Motion Graphics team, providing briefs and creative direction for visual cohesion on video and animated assets.
  • Uphold a high standard of craft in typography, layout, data visualization, and visual hierarchy, especially for high-visibility, executive-level materials.
Stakeholder Partnership
  • Serve as a trusted and responsive creative partner to the Corporate Communications arm.
  • Engage directly with stakeholders to clarify ambiguous requirements, ask pertinent questions, recommend sustainable design solutions, and deliver work meeting creative and strategic goals.
  • Manage day-to-day project queues and priorities independently under broad objectives, proactively communicating timelines and potential risks.
Growth & Collaboration
  • Lead and participate in creative team reviews, providing constructive feedback to enhance the team's collective output.
  • Independently identify and implement improvements to shared templates, creative systems, and team workflows.
  • Stay current with design trends and tools, bringing a continuous improvement mindset to your craft.
  • Adopt AI-enhanced practices: use generative tools for asset production, automate design and writing tasks, and leverage performance metrics for data-informed decisions to maximize revenue impact.

What You'll Need

Minimum Qualifications
  • 6+ years of professional design experience with a portfolio demonstrating strong craft across various formats (presentations, editorial/report design, corporate communications).
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of relevant career experience and expertise.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a B2B SaaS or tech environment.
  • Proficiency in Figma (component libraries) and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop).
  • Proven ability to work within and contribute to brand or design systems, extending existing templates and component libraries.
  • Experience producing high-stakes or executive-level design materials (board/investor presentations, annual reports, formal corporate publications).
  • Ability to manage a busy, varied workload and competing priorities independently.
  • Background or strong interest in data visualization, infographics, or financial storytelling.
  • Familiarity with internal or corporate comms platforms (e.g., Staffbase, Simpplr, Confluence).
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a fully remote environment with distributed teams.
  • Receptive to feedback, able to iterate quickly, and invested in output quality and precision.

How You’ll Be Rewarded

  • Salary range in the US: $106,000.00 - $172,000.00
  • Discretionary bonus typically paid annually.
  • Restricted Stock Units granted at time of hire.
