About The Team

Our Solution Consulting team acts as a strategic partner to the sales organization, building a compelling vision of Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) solution within the Financial Services Industry. This team brings the value of Workday’s HCM solutions to life, showcasing how the world of work can be transformed within the fast-paced Financial Services (FSI) industry sector. In addition to partnering with our sales counterparts, the team collaborates regularly with Product Management, Services/Implementation, Marketing, and Value Management teams, offering unique exposure to different business areas.

About The Sr Solution Consultant Role

We are seeking a Sr Solution Consultant with Human Capital Management experience to join our Financial Services (FSI) industry-focused team. In this role, you will serve as a trusted advisor to executives at financial institutions. Workday Solution Consultants act as trusted advisors throughout the entire lifecycle—from Net New pursuits to high-value Customer Base upsells. You will navigate a complex environment demanding curiosity, flexibility, and drive, delivering value-based executive presentations and tailored product demonstrations that solve unique business challenges. Working closely with Account Executives and peer Solution Consultants, you will support both fast-moving opportunities and large, strategic deals. You will have an important role in spotting opportunities to better support customers, uplevel peers, and operate with efficiency and purpose, participating in projects and cross-functional teams to achieve goals of driving increased revenue and sustainable business outcomes for customers by leveraging Workday technology. Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of extensive Human Capital Management domain expertise
  • 5+ years experience in Presales Solution Consulting, Sales, or Implementation role
  • 3+ years of business experience with relevant cloud-based human capital management & workforce management applications and strong understanding of the mid-market space (e.g. UKG, Dayforce, ADP, Rippling etc.).

Other Qualifications

  • Executive Presence: Ability to command a room at the C-Suite level and influence complex decision-making processes through presentations (both in-person and remote).
  • Value-Based Selling: Expert-level discovery skills with the ability to translate technical requirements into a compelling vision for digital transformation and the business impact.
  • Agility: A self-starter who thrives in ambiguous, high-stakes, fast-paced environments and can manage multiple concurrent projects with precision and accountability.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable with high-velocity and magnitude of change. Leans into change as a growth opportunity and embraces a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Creativity: Generates unique ideas or approaches to improve the work with a willingness to innovate and take calculated risks.
  • Location: Based in the NYC Metropolitan area or the Northeastern U.S. (Preferred)
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% as required
