About The Role
Evisort Engineering is expanding, and as a Backend Software Engineer, you will be part of a collaborative, cross-functional team focused on enhancing and expanding our AI-driven contract management platform. You will work closely with engineers, product managers, data scientists, and designers to deliver scalable, user-centric solutions that revolutionize how legal and business teams manage their contracts.
Your technical contributions and team-first mindset will be crucial in delivering high-impact products that scale our AI capabilities and help global organizations simplify complex business processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with engineering, data science, product, and design teams to build and evolve our vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Participate in a supportive, iterative team culture that values curiosity, learning, and strong engineering practices.
- Contribute to the growth and success of your teammates through knowledge sharing and mentorship.
- Take ownership of multiple functional areas in our platform — from development to production ("you build it, you run it").
About You
Basic Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering.
- 3+ years experience with a web development framework (Python/Typescript preferred: Flask, Django, NestJS, or FastAPI).
Other Qualifications:
- Experience building and operating SaaS products in cloud environments (AWS preferred).
- Experience with a Relational DB (PostgreSQL preferred).
- Knowledge of software development best practices (Git, DevOps, CI/CD, automated testing, observability).
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Proven success working within fast-paced, agile environments and cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners.
- Comfortable working with ambiguity and translating complex problems into clear, thoughtful solutions.

Workday Pay Transparency Statement
Workday pay ranges vary based on work location. This role may be eligible for the Workday Bonus Plan or a role-specific commission/bonus, as well as annual refresh stock grants. Recruiters can share more details. Compensation offers are based on factors including geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need. Primary Location Base Pay Range: $112,000 CAD - $168,000 CAD
