Job Purpose

This DB Developer - Bilingual (English/Korean) position is responsible for Oracle Database development and operational management. The role requires strong PL/SQL expertise, support for day-to-day operations, system performance monitoring, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Essential Functions

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle PL/SQL procedures, functions, packages, and triggers.
• Optimize and refactor existing database code for performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with application developers, business analysts, and system administrators.
• Investigate and resolve data-related issues.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices.
• Document database designs, procedures, and processes.
• Communicate clearly in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years overall software development experience.
• Minimum 2 years hands-on Oracle database development.
• Strong proficiency in PL/SQL and complex stored procedures.
• Solid understanding of relational database design and performance tuning.
• Experience with backup/recovery, security, and operational tasks.
• Ability to architect and oversee highly available systems handling millions of transactions per day.
• Experience with SaaS, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and high concurrency systems.
• Excellent problem-solving, analysis, and communication skills.
