About You
We are seeking an all-rounded architectural team lead with extensive experience across all stages of complex commercial projects. The ideal candidate possesses a solid understanding of design development and delivery, demonstrating adept problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach to achieve optimal project outcomes with team members and consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver design and documentation throughout each project lifecycle phase, exhibiting expertise in design development, technical drawing, and project coordination.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of relevant codes and standards, including NCC, Australian Standards, and planning controls, along with regulatory frameworks, sustainability practices, and cutting-edge materials.
- Oversee the preparation of architectural drawings, models, and specifications to accurately reflect design intent.
- Lead complex, multi-phase projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliance with regulations.
- Independently align design solutions with project goals, client objectives, and financial constraints.
- Monitor project budgets closely, tracking progress and ensuring financial objectives are met.
- Manage project resource allocation, including staff, materials, and contractors, for efficient resource utilization across projects.
- Cultivate and manage strong client relationships and expectations, contributing to meetings and presentations to clearly communicate design intent.
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with high-level clients, anticipating needs and delivering tailored design solutions.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 15 years of local experience in design and construction documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proven expertise in managing complex, multi-phase projects with a focus on high-quality outcomes and regulatory compliance.
- Solid understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards, and relevant industry regulations.
- Strong technical and construction knowledge is essential.
- Ability to lead major presentations and negotiations, communicating design concepts effectively using strong visual and verbal presentation skills.
- Essential proficiency in Revit.
