Responsibilities

Automation Experience

  • Implement and manage Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions to automate repetitive tasks and improve operational efficiency.
  • Integrate RPA with existing BI tools to enhance data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  • Contribute to initiatives to streamline processes through advanced automation techniques.

Digitalisation and Technology Adoption

  • Assist with the promotion of digitalisation and adoption of automation across GFS, wider Finance community and other functions where appropriate e.g. Supply Chain.
  • Stay at the forefront of emerging BI trends and technologies, ensuring the organisation remains competitive.

BI Dashboard Reporting and Report Development

  • Develop real-time interactive dashboards using Power BI.
  • Design and validate comprehensive financial reports to support strategic decision-making.

Standardisation, Simplification, and Data Management

  • Work under the guidance of the Line Manager to ensure architectural alignment, standards adherence, and consistent solution delivery
  • Support the Manager in continuous improvement by identifying technical enhancement opportunities.
  • Define and maintain naming conventions and user-friendly explanations to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Implement and monitor robust controls to ensure data integrity and accuracy.

Advanced Data Analysis and Data Management

  • Analyse and interpret complex data to identify trends and provide actionable insights for business stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of data management concepts, including Data Lakes, Data Warehouses, and Data Marts.
  • Apply knowledge of these concepts to optimise data storage, retrieval, and analysis processes.
  • Ensure effective integration of data management solutions to support comprehensive business intelligence and reporting needs.

This role requires a deep understanding of BI tools, data analysis, business intelligence solutions, and enterprise automation technologies, including Robotic Process Automation (RPA).   • Degree educated, preferably in a Finance‑related discipline, due to the need for understanding core financial processes.
  • Preferred Certifications: Automation Anywhere Bot Developer Certification, MS Power Platform Developer Associate, MS Fabric Data Engineer Associate, MS Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
  • 3–5 years’ proven experience architecting and delivering data analytics and automation solutions within complex, global business environments, underpinned by strong finance domain expertise.
  • Automation Anywhere RPA Bot development experience and associated accreditation is desirable.
  • Deep expertise across the Microsoft BI and Power Platform stack: Power BI (advanced modelling, DAX, visualisation), Power Automate, Excel (Power Query, Power Pivot), SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • The role requires strong data engineering capabilities within a finance data environment, ideally with hands-on experience of Python and PySpark, along with proven CI/CD practices, to support and scale solutions aligned with the Microsoft Fabric roadmap.
