Role Overview
As an AI Engineer at Libra, you will develop and enhance core product features using advanced LLM APIs. Your role involves creating both chat-based interfaces and behind-the-scenes integrations, ensuring secure, reliable, and performant AI-powered experiences used daily by European legal professionals.
What You Will Do
- Design, implement, and maintain AI-driven product features using LLM APIs.
- Develop chat-based UX flows and non-visible AI integrations.
- Build and optimize RAG systems including document parsing and semantic chunking.
- Create scalable backend systems using FastAPI and modern Python tooling.
- Design agent orchestration systems for complex legal workflows.
- Implement infrastructure for evaluation, continuous monitoring, and alerting (e.g., Langfuse).
- Ensure high security and data privacy standards.
- Collaborate with Product, Legal Engineering, and Design teams to prototype and refine AI use cases.
- Explore new models and AI developer tools like Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot.
What You Bring
- Deep experience integrating large language models via APIs.
- Proficiency with FastAPI, Python, and common data science packages.
- Strong software engineering and security best practices expertise.
- Experience with modern AI tools and bonus skills in TypeScript/front-end.
- Excellent English communication, German is a plus.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on impact and practicality.
