About the Role

As a Reference Architect on the Principal Engineering team, you will design, validate, and publish reference architectures and solution blueprints. Your work will demonstrate how the Wiz Platform addresses complex cloud, hybrid, and on-premises security challenges.

Core Responsibilities

  • Develop Reference Architectures & Blueprints: Build frameworks and patterns showing Wiz integration across environments.
  • Research & Discovery: Interview stakeholders and capture industry trends and customer use cases.
  • Collaborate with Engineering & Product: Align architectures with product roadmaps and validate designs.
  • Design & Operate Validation Labs: Build hands-on labs across AWS, Azure, GCP, and hybrid setups.
  • Publish High-Impact Content: Create guides, diagrams, and playbooks to drive adoption.
  • Enable and Educate: Deliver workshops and training sessions for internal and external teams.
  • Support Strategic Initiatives: Collaborate on messaging and align designs with customer needs.

Experience & Qualifications

Minimum 10+ years in enterprise security architecture, cloud security or consulting roles. Hands-on experience with at least two major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and proven expertise in creating reference architectures, frameworks, or whitepapers. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Python) is required.

Cloud & Automation Skills

Understanding of identity, workload, network, and data security. Familiarity with cloud-native services, security models, and hybrid patterns.

Soft Skills & Strategic Traits

Exceptional communication, storytelling, analytical, and executive engagement skills. Ability to simplify complex concepts into clear, repeatable patterns.
