Overview

Join Wiz, the fastest-growing startup reinventing cloud security to empower businesses. As a Public Sector Architect at Wiz, you will help shape and secure cloud environments for federal agencies and customers by guiding FedRAMP, DoD, and other public sector initiatives.

Responsibilities

As a Public Sector Architect, you will:

  • Build and mature the Wiz Public Sector program.
  • Act as a trusted advisor for cloud security in AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Conduct architecture reviews and provide federal requirements to drive new features.
  • Create detailed diagrams aligned with federal compliance standards using tools like LucidChart and Visio.
  • Test and validate new features to meet security and compliance goals.
  • Collaborate with DevOps, engineering teams, compliance officers, and public sector operations.
  • Provide technical input in developing System Security Plans (SSP) and work with 3PAOs.
  • Stay up to date with FedRAMP, DISA, and NIST guidelines and ensure adherence.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years as a Federal Cloud/Security Architect in AWS (experience with Google Cloud and Azure is a plus) or 7+ years combined experience.
  • Experience with microservices, containers, Kubernetes, IaC, Configuration Management, APIs, and CI/CD.
  • Expertise in architecting cloud native solutions and following cloud security best practices.
  • Strong project ownership and ability to translate compliance requirements to technical outcomes.
  • Familiarity with NIST 800-53, DISA CC SRG, DISA STIGs, and encryption methodologies.
  • Compliance with EAR part 772 and ITAR 120.15 as a U.S. person residing in the contiguous United States.

Benefits & Compensation

Wiz offers a competitive benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance, flexible paid time off, 401(k) with employer match, and more. This position is full-time with base salaries ranging from $204,000 to $281,000 USD, eligibility for equity, and potential additional incentive compensation.
