About the Role
The FinCrime Operations Analyst - Sanctions at Wise is tasked with protecting both customers and the company by assessing alerts from sanctions screening systems. This role is ideal for individuals who excel in data analysis, have an eye for detail, and enjoy working in a dynamic, evolving environment.
Your Mission
- Follow procedural guidelines for handling sanctions alerts.
- Analyze potential matches against sanctions lists for customers and transactions.
- Communicate with customers to obtain additional information.
- Escalate alerts that might require reporting.
- Provide input to refine automated screening processes.
- Take ownership of cases and share knowledge with the team.
Qualifications
Candidates must be eligible to work in Estonia and flexible with working hours, including weekends (minimum 1 weekend shift per week, about 4 weekends per month). Excellent verbal and written English is required alongside strong analytical, logical, and communication skills. Experience with sanctions is beneficial.
