Job Description
The Quality Process Technician is a key member of the Manufacturing Process and Quality team at WireCo WorldGroup. This role supports production and testing to ensure that in-process materials and finished products meet or exceed internal and external quality standards. The role involves promoting the WireCo Business System (WBS) values including teamwork, accountability, self-awareness, noble intent, determination, transparency, and curiosity.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
- Maintain compliance with ISO 9001 and API Q1 Quality Management Systems.
- Monitor product quality and implement root cause corrective measures.
- Deploy new products and processes, enhancing first pass yield and reducing downtime.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement and other departments to address risks and opportunities.
- Document problem-solving efforts using WireCo’s OpEx Pillars and data-driven decisions.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively across all management levels and departments.
- Work with Quality Management on labor and material savings projects.
- Generate specifications for tooling and support operations in problem solving.
- Standardize tooling and reduce setup times.
- Develop internal specifications, work instructions, and test methods.
- Train as an internal auditor and perform quality audits.
- Use data to drive project pathways and decisions.
- Create training documents on new processes.
Qualifications
Required: B.S. in Engineering or Engineering Technology, or five years equivalent manufacturing experience; exceptional problem-solving skills; strong computer, communication, and organizational skills; safety-focused.
Preferred: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Additional Information
The role is based at the Sedalia manufacturing facility. It includes a combination of office and production floor work with physical requirements such as prolonged sitting, standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., complete a background check, pass a drug screen, and be at least 18 years old.
