About The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Recruiter to join our team in New York City. This pivotal role involves partnering closely with our R&D leaders to scale our AI, Engineering, and Product teams across diverse roles and locations. As a Technical Recruiter at Watershed, you will own the full-cycle recruitment process, from intake to offer acceptance, ensuring a seamless candidate experience and alignment with organizational goals. You will be responsible for building and maintaining a robust talent pipeline, implementing strategic sourcing techniques, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. This role offers the opportunity to influence global hiring strategies, support new team formations, and contribute to Watershed's mission of fostering a more sustainable future through innovative technology. Qualifications

  • Minimum of 4+ years of technical recruiting experience, preferably within high-growth technology companies
  • Proven success in sourcing and hiring engineering, product, and data science roles
  • Excellent selling, negotiation, and closing skills with a track record of achieving hiring targets
  • Strong understanding of technical roles, skills, and industry trends
  • Experience building diverse talent pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and market mapping
  • Ability to design and implement structured interview processes, scorecards, and analytics to improve hiring quality and reduce bias
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Technical curiosity and familiarity with AI, engineering, and product development environments
  • Passion for sustainability, climate change solutions, and leveraging technology for positive impact
  • Willingness to work from the office four days a week (for office-based roles) or as specified for remote opportunities

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for technical roles, including intake, sourcing, screening, assessment, and closing
  • Partner strategically with engineering, product, and design leaders to understand hiring needs and develop tailored sourcing strategies
  • Build and maintain diverse, high-quality talent pipelines through outbound sourcing, referrals, campaigns, and market research
  • Conduct structured interviews, develop scorecards, and utilize analytics to enhance hiring signals and minimize bias
  • Coordinate and facilitate interview panels, provide interview training, and ensure a positive candidate experience
  • Track, analyze, and report key recruitment metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline health, pass-through rates, and offer acceptance
  • Support global hiring initiatives, assist in establishing new teams, and fill roles aligned with Watershed’s strategic objectives
  • Maintain stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates and insights on recruitment progress and challenges
  • Contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives to optimize recruitment workflows and candidate experience
