About The Role

The Staff Data Analyst will be an integral part of the Wiraa Compliance Analytics team, which is focused on placing data at the core of the Compliance organization. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in Financial Crimes and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) domains. In this role, you will develop and execute data strategies, lead critical workstreams, and deliver actionable insights to leadership across the company. Your work will be instrumental in quantifying compliance risks, enhancing operational effectiveness, and communicating the story of our Compliance program to regulators and external stakeholders. You will focus on leveraging data to inform strategic decision-making, support regulatory engagements, and drive continuous improvement in our compliance efforts. Your expertise will help Wiraa redefine the relationship with money on a global scale, ensuring our platform remains secure, compliant, and innovative.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree; or 6+ years with a Master’s degree; or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of Compliance/AML experience
• Expert proficiency in SQL and data analysis/visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker
• Extensive experience in ETL development and data pipeline management
• Strong problem-solving skills with a history of tackling complex, large-scale issues
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating technical insights for diverse audiences
• Attention to detail and a polished approach to data presentation and storytelling
• Ability to manage multiple high-impact projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of data strategies for regulatory engagements, including ETL processes and source data validation
• Translate regulatory expectations and commitments into actionable insights and influence product and compliance roadmaps
• Utilize raw data to educate internal teams and external partners on the impact of new regulations, policies, or environmental changes affecting the compliance program
• Collaborate closely with legal, engineering, and other cross-functional teams to inform the design of compliance systems and initiatives
• Establish yourself as a thought leader by connecting insights to actionable strategies through effective communication and stakeholder engagement
• Leverage your subject matter expertise to educate, coach, and influence teams internally and externally, supporting the long-term success of Wiraa
• Manage multiple workstreams, demonstrating agility in navigating levels of abstraction in both written and verbal communications
