About the Role

The Software Security Engineer role at Wiraa is focused on developing and implementing AI-powered security tooling to identify vulnerabilities. You will collaborate with engineering and product teams to provide actionable remediation recommendations while leading security research initiatives within a dynamic, global environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop AI-powered tools to detect security vulnerabilities.
• Refine detection tools to lower false positives and focus on high-impact issues.
• Collaborate with various teams to communicate security risks and remediation steps.
• Lead security research, contribute to blogs, and represent at conferences.
• Conduct manual vulnerability assessments and code reviews.
• Participate in threat analysis and security incident response.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in application security.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
• Proven experience in securing large-scale web and mobile applications.
• Hands-on experience with manual security testing and remediation.
• Strong programming skills and ability to write secure code.
• Experience in developing security tools using AI and prompt engineering.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in security research, publications, or conferences is preferred.
