About The Role

Indeed's Monetization Enablement team is seeking talented and motivated Software Engineers to join us in developing and maintaining high-impact, revenue-generating products. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones to design and build scalable, reliable systems that facilitate effective employer and job seeker interactions. You will play a vital part in delivering initiatives that directly influence revenue growth and improve the overall user experience for millions of users across over 60 countries. Your responsibilities will include working in a fast-paced environment, implementing monitoring and operational best practices, and utilizing cutting-edge AI tools to enhance development velocity and quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to solve complex technical problems at scale, contribute to innovative solutions, and support the company's mission to connect people with the right jobs efficiently and effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• 4+ years of professional software development experience
• Deep expertise in building and supporting high-performance, highly available distributed systems (preferably in digital advertising, streaming, Kafka, etc.)
• Proven experience designing and delivering maintainable, reusable, and scalable software solutions
• Strong understanding of web services, middleware, databases, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
• Experience working with AI Coding Assistants (such as Cursor, Claude, Windsurf, etc.)
• Demonstrated accountability and ownership of technical projects
• Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones and cultures
• Proficiency in Agile methodologies and familiarity with modern development tools and practices

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-performance systems that support revenue-generating initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, engineering leaders, and other stakeholders, to deliver impactful solutions
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and operational best practices to ensure system health and reliability
• Leverage AI-powered coding tools to enhance development speed and code quality
• Participate in experimentation and data-driven decision-making to optimize product features and system performance
• Provide operational support during business hours for critical systems
• Break down complex problems into manageable components and deliver high-quality, maintainable code
• Continuously learn new skills, adapt to evolving technologies, and challenge existing processes for improvement
