About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and automation-focused Quality Assurance Engineer II to join our Mobile team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the delivery of high-quality mobile applications that manage and control Hudl’s smart camera systems. These applications allow coaches and administrators to automate sports video recording and uploading processes, eliminating the need for dedicated camera operators. Your primary responsibility will be to serve as the testing expert within your cross-functional squad, guiding testing strategies, automating processes, and maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and performance. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Product, Design, and Scrum teams to deliver products that meet user expectations and technical excellence. Your expertise will help us improve our testing frameworks, identify potential issues early, and ensure the robustness of our mobile solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of software testing experience, with a strong understanding of the product lifecycle
• Hands-on experience with iOS and Android mobile app automation frameworks
• Proficiency in designing and executing automated test scripts
• Strong customer and user-experience focus in testing methodologies
• Excellent problem-solving skills and creative thinking to identify and troubleshoot issues
• Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams
• Experience working in fast-paced environments with shifting deadlines

Responsibilities

• Lead and own the testing efforts for mobile applications, ensuring they meet quality standards and user expectations
• Develop, maintain, and enhance automated test scripts for iOS and Android platforms
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate testing into continuous development workflows
• Identify, document, and track bugs and issues, providing clear reports and recommendations for resolution
• Participate in planning discussions to define testing strategies and automation priorities
• Challenge and improve existing testing processes to align with development speed and quality goals
• Stay informed about industry best practices and emerging testing tools, including contract testing and AI-driven testing solutions
