About The QA Analyst, Validation Role
Sand Cherry is seeking a QA Analyst, Validation to join our team in a remote capacity, beginning March 2, 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of data as it transitions between source and target systems. This role requires a structured approach to validation, early identification of data quality risks, and close collaboration with subject matter experts (SMEs) to resolve issues effectively. The analyst will operate within established processes and governance standards, ensuring that validation outcomes are reliable, consistent, and auditable. This position offers an excellent opportunity for professionals with a strong background in data validation and quality assurance to contribute to impactful projects in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-4 years of professional experience in QA and QA validation
- Strong data literacy with exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working with enterprise-level or relational data environments
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Ability to work effectively within structured, repeatable validation cycles
- Clear written communication skills with a strong sense of accountability and ownership
- Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship (required)
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency with SQL
- Experience supporting data migrations, system implementations, or large-scale data initiatives
- Familiarity with data quality, governance, or audit-style validation frameworks
Responsibilities
- Validate source-to-target data for accuracy, completeness, and consistency
- Execute standardized Good / Better / Best validation checklists
- Identify data quality issues, discrepancies, and potential risks; escalate findings early
- Correct data issues under SME guidance, avoiding independent migration or transformation decisions
- Perform peer reviews of validation work conducted by other analysts to ensure quality and consistency
- Document validation findings, exceptions, and resolutions clearly and thoroughly
- Adhere to established validation processes, controls, and delivery timelines
