About The Role: Junior Recruiter

Fonzi is seeking a motivated Junior Recruiter to join our team on a 3-month contract basis. This role is designed to support candidate onboarding, coordination, and recruiting operations, serving as a vital link between candidates and our client companies during the Match Day process. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, comfort in engaging with candidates over the phone, and a keen interest in breaking into technical recruiting. This position offers an excellent entry point for individuals eager to develop their recruiting expertise within the AI and technology landscape. Successful performance in this role could lead to extensions and opportunities for long-term career growth within Fonzi as a technical recruiter. The Junior Recruiter will work closely with our team to facilitate seamless candidate experiences and contribute to our mission of transforming AI talent acquisition.

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of professional experience in customer service, recruiting coordination, executive assistance, or other people-facing/organizational roles
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail
  • Comfortable communicating with candidates via phone and written correspondence
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Interest in AI, technology, and building a career in recruiting
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, remote environment
  • Familiarity with scheduling, applicant tracking systems, or sourcing tools (preferred)
  • Experience with AI tools in a work setting (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main point of contact for candidates throughout the Match Day recruiting process
  • Manage scheduling, communication, onboarding, and interview coordination between candidates and client companies
  • Conduct phone screens to verify candidate details and address questions
  • Assist candidates in polishing their profiles to maximize their appeal to potential employers
  • Provide interview preparation and guidance to candidates to enhance their success
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date candidate data to support recruiting operations
  • Support behind-the-scenes team functions to ensure smooth process flow
  • Participate in sourcing activities and develop technical recruiting skills through training and mentorship
  • Engage with candidates and clients at industry events, including hosting and attending NYC-based functions
  • Encourage participation in Match Day by connecting with potential candidates and clients during events
