About The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Human Resources Specialist to join our dynamic HR team. This remote position plays a vital role in managing day-to-day HR inquiries and ensuring the efficient flow of HR service tickets. The Human Resources Specialist will serve as the first point of contact for colleagues seeking assistance with benefits, paid time off, personal information updates, and employment verifications. This role focuses on streamlining HR processes through effective ticket management, process improvement initiatives, and automation efforts. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-centric mindset, contributing to a positive employee experience. Collaborating closely with HR leadership and cross-functional teams, the specialist will help optimize HR service delivery and support the organization’s commitment to excellence in employee support and engagement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years of experience in HR service delivery, HR support, or administrative roles, preferably within healthcare or multi-state environments
- Prior experience with ticketing systems such as Zoho Service Desk or similar platforms is advantageous
- High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of handling sensitive information with discretion
- Experience with benefits administration, PTO management, and employment verifications
- Familiarity with HRIS systems and ability to accurately update employee information
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Personal attributes include integrity, confidentiality, interpersonal skills, and a customer-focused attitude
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for Tier 0 and Tier 1 HR inquiries, managing requests through the ticketing system
- Assign and track tickets to ensure timely resolution, maintaining efficient workflow management
- Respond to colleague inquiries related to benefits, PTO, personal information updates, and employment verifications with clear and accurate information
- Update and maintain employee records within HRIS systems, ensuring data accuracy and confidentiality
- Identify recurring issues and collaborate with HR leadership to implement automation solutions that enhance efficiency
- Evaluate current processes for inefficiencies and propose improvements to reduce manual workload and improve service quality
- Partner with HR teams, IT, and other departments to facilitate seamless communication and service delivery
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of HR processes and contribute to the knowledge base for self-service resources
- Utilize critical thinking and data analysis to identify trends and areas for continuous improvement
- Provide exceptional customer service, anticipating colleague needs and delivering solutions with professionalism and empathy
