We are seeking experienced Human Resource Specialists to join our team in supporting a critical proposal effort for Space Systems Command (SSC) CG. This full-time position is based at Los Angeles AFB, Los Angeles, CA, and is contingent upon contract award. The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing directorate-level support across various HR functions, including infrastructure management, personnel administration, and information management activities. The role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional capable of managing multiple responsibilities, from asset accountability to personnel development, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and organizational policies. The Human Resource Specialist will also coordinate with diverse teams, support military and civilian personnel processes, and contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the organization’s mission-critical activities.Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain an active Secret security clearance
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in Human Resources, with at least 3+ years within the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Effective written and oral communication skills
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and responsible team player capable of working independently
- Ability to interact effectively with technically and organizationally diverse personnel
- Experience managing high-visibility or mission-critical programs independently
- Proven ability to oversee less senior staff or coordinate efforts across teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in related field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Familiarity with space-related research, acquisitions, and communications disciplines
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive directorate-level support for infrastructure, human resources, and personnel management activities
- Track and maintain accountability for all hardware assets, including laptops and wireless communication devices
- Onboard new employees by setting up user profiles and managing organizational email accounts
- Coordinate efforts to support co-location of government personnel and contractors as needed
- Evaluate space requirements, monitor building occupancy, and generate monthly facility reports
- Ensure compliance with all relevant facility regulations and directives
- Plan, organize, and evaluate training and professional development programs for personnel
- Monitor and report on personnel training in support of Air Force and Space Force training initiatives
- Coordinate with functional organizations regarding non-governmental training courses and opportunities
- Manage and process Office of Government Ethics 450 forms and track military and civilian awards and decorations
- Monitor deployment activities, including personnel and equipment tracking
- Maintain and utilize task management tools and organizational inboxes for operational tasks
- Track military performance reports, feedback, and promotion documentation
- Notify and remind raters of upcoming performance report deadlines and quality checks
- Maintain accurate records of military personnel performance and compliance, including IMAs
- Analyze unit military manning levels and assist in planning future staffing requirements
- Provide expert guidance on civilian HR procedures, rules, and regulations
