About The Role

We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our Bay Area Main division, based in South San Francisco. This full-time, onsite role involves managing the entire employment lifecycle, including recruiting, employee relations, talent management, training, and benefits administration. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team of HR Generalists/Administrators across multiple locations, ensuring the delivery of exceptional HR services aligned with company values and strategic objectives. This position requires a proactive approach to fostering a positive work environment, promoting company culture, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. The HR Manager will serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, facilitating effective communication and collaboration across the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive Human Resources management experience
  • At least 1 year of supervisory or management experience
  • Professional in Human Resources® (HRCI PHR®) or Society of Human Resources Management Certified Professional (SHRM CP®) certification preferred
  • Experience in construction or construction-related industries preferred
  • Experience working in large organizations with 10,000+ employees is advantageous
  • Strong understanding of business and construction operations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a mindset geared towards continuous improvement
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills at all organizational levels
  • Self-motivated with advanced skills in HR systems and project management
  • Experience engaging with senior management and leadership teams
  • Knowledge of lean culture, continuous improvement principles, and related tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR-related software
  • Willingness to travel regularly as required

Responsibilities

  • Manage the full employment lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, and offboarding processes
  • Lead and develop HR Generalists/Administrators across multiple locations, providing guidance and support
  • Promote and embody the company culture and values through active participation in diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management and employees, communicating HR policies, procedures, and legal requirements effectively
  • Collaborate with regional HR teams to define goals, develop strategies, and recommend policies for continuous improvement
  • Deliver an exceptional employee experience by fostering a trusting environment and engaging with employees directly at their work sites
  • Provide guidance and support to business unit leadership on people-related needs and concerns
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, provide feedback, and support talent development initiatives
  • Oversee recruitment efforts, including screening, interviewing, and selecting qualified candidates aligned with business needs
  • Develop sourcing strategies in partnership with department heads and hiring managers
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Participate in defining regional HR goals and contribute to strategic planning and decision-making
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement new approaches to enhance HR service delivery
