About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Financial Analyst to join our finance team and work directly with our Chief Financial Officer. This pivotal role involves managing complex financial models, leading multi-division budgeting processes, and translating intricate financial data into clear, actionable insights. The successful candidate will bring experience from investment banking, private equity, or corporate development, demonstrating exceptional analytical skills and a strong understanding of financial statements and modeling. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in economics, finance, accounting, or related field
• 2-3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst in investment banking, private equity, or corporate development
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to process and interpret large datasets
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex financial modeling
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Experience in aerospace and defense industries is a plus but not mandatory
• Ability to work on-site in San Luis Obispo, CA; remote work considered for qualified candidates

Responsibilities

• Construct, analyze, and maintain complex and dynamic operating and financial statement models, demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of detailed, multi-year budgets across multiple divisions
• Process and analyze large volumes of operating and financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
• Develop compelling financial presentations and detailed reports for senior leadership and stakeholders
• Communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely through written reports and verbal presentations
• Collaborate closely with the Chief Financial Officer on strategic financial initiatives and decision-making processes
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all financial analyses, models, and reporting activities
