About The Role

The Data Analyst II at PANTHERx plays a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining analytical and reporting solutions that support strategic business decision-making. This position requires a subject matter expert in SQL, data aggregation, and Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI. The successful candidate will collaborate with various stakeholders to understand their data needs, develop tailored solutions, and ensure data integrity and accuracy. Responsibilities include creating reports, data extracts, and analytical models that facilitate data-driven insights, automating report delivery, and troubleshooting data issues. The role demands a proactive approach to understanding business goals and leveraging data capabilities to deliver solutions that add value beyond initial requirements. This position reports to the Manager of Reporting and Analytics and operates in a hybrid work environment based in Pittsburgh, PA.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, information technology, related fields, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in business intelligence development, data warehousing, or related areas
  • Strong proficiency in SQL
  • Experience with Power BI and other Business Intelligence tools
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across teams
  • Familiarity with healthcare or specialty pharmacy data (preferred)
  • Experience with Spark and/or Databricks (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain analytical and reporting solutions aligned with business intelligence requirements
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data needs and develop appropriate analytical solutions
  • Perform data analysis and develop data models to support decision-making processes
  • Create reports, data extracts, and analyses using SQL, Power BI, and other analytical tools
  • Write measures and calculated columns utilizing DAX language
  • Automate report delivery through Power BI and proprietary tools
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and consistency by implementing quality measures
  • Test and validate all analytical solutions to ensure compliance with requirements and data validity
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues promptly
  • Understand business objectives and data capabilities to deliver solutions that provide additional value
  • Document requests, requirements, and solutions effectively using appropriate tools
