About The Role
The Cyber Security Engineer within the Technology Operations Center (TOC) plays a vital role in safeguarding our clients' digital environments by managing and configuring a variety of cybersecurity tools and technologies. This full-time, remote position requires a proactive professional with a strong technical background in cybersecurity operations. The engineer will operate with autonomy on specific tasks, projects, and client sessions, providing expert guidance and support to ensure optimal security posture. Responsibilities include deploying, integrating, and monitoring security platforms, troubleshooting issues, and delivering technical solutions that align with best practices and client requirements. The role demands a vigilant approach, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work effectively within a mission-oriented team dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of cybersecurity defense.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of proven experience in delivering technical missions in a cybersecurity environment
- Preferred 5 years of relevant experience in cybersecurity operations
- Expertise in deploying and managing cyber tools such as Firewalls, Endpoint Protection Platforms, Vulnerability Management Platforms, and SIEMs
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals and security protocols
- Experience in support or operations roles involving systems deployment, management, and troubleshooting
- Significant client delivery experience is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
- Provide expert answers and recommendations to clients’ cybersecurity-related inquiries, following team guidelines and DeepSeas methodologies
- Offer deep technical expertise on the deployment, configuration, and operation of cyber tools used by clients
- Assist senior engineers in optimizing security practices and establishing standard procedures
- Manage the integration of new clients with the DeepSeas platform, ensuring smooth onboarding processes
- Monitor clients’ cyber tools proactively using team tools and processes, responding swiftly to potential issues
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues within clients’ cybersecurity environments, performing root cause analysis as needed
- Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, configurations, and incident reports for operational consistency
- Participate in training sessions and contribute to continuous team development and knowledge sharing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve security protocols and operational efficiency
