About The Role
The Content Strategist at Directive Consulting is a vital client-facing role responsible for developing and managing tailored marketing strategies for enterprise clients. This position involves overseeing day-to-day deliverables, creating comprehensive client strategies, and maintaining clear communication with both clients and internal teams. The strategist will work closely with senior leadership, including Associate Directors, to ensure alignment with client goals and company standards. The role requires a deep understanding of content marketing, SEO principles, and the impact of marketing strategies on broader business objectives. Internally titled Account Strategist, Content & SEO, this position demands a strategic thinker capable of crafting creative briefs, setting measurable goals, and ensuring the successful execution of campaigns. The strategist acts as a trusted advisor, fostering strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to drive continuous growth and optimization.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in implementing SEO strategies, including keyword research, on-page optimization, and link building
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret website traffic and SEO metrics using tools like Google Analytics
- Excellent communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles and stakeholder management
- Proficiency with industry tools such as Google Search Console, SEMRush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, and Google Analytics
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple campaigns simultaneously
- Agency experience, particularly within B2B technology or SaaS sectors
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy
- Ability to stay ahead of industry trends, including AI and automation applications in marketing
- Experience using project management tools like Asana
- Relevant educational background in Marketing, Communications, or related fields
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement customized marketing strategies aligned with client goals and best practices
- Collaborate with Associate Directors to set and approve measurable objectives based on data sources such as Google Analytics, CRM, SEMRush, and Ahrefs
- Ensure timely execution of strategies by delegating tasks within the team and coordinating with content writers, designers, and project managers
- Use project management tools like Asana to track progress, assign responsibilities, and meet deadlines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs beyond deliverables
- Proactively communicate with clients and internal teams regarding timelines, progress, and strategic adjustments
- Generate regular reports on strategy performance, including bi-weekly client meetings, monthly, quarterly, and bi-annual reviews
- Identify opportunities for account growth through upselling, cross-selling, and referrals
- Stay informed on industry trends, including AI and automation, and incorporate innovative practices into client strategies
- Ensure high-quality content production and campaign execution, maintaining client standards and expectations
