About the Role: Business Analyst/QA Specialist

We are seeking a proactive and highly adaptable Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our team as a Business Analyst/QA Specialist. In this role, you will be instrumental in driving quality assurance standards across our diverse product ecosystem. Your primary responsibilities will include testing complex program modules, ensuring the integrity of the latest releases, and maintaining comprehensive documentation to support cross-team collaboration. Acting as a bridge between Support, Product, Implementation, and Development teams, you will provide expert consulting support for both modern and legacy products, ensuring seamless integration and functionality aligned with client workflows and expectations. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high-quality standards and continuous improvement of our software solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience in manual software QA, with a proven track record of testing complex modules
  • Experience working collaboratively with development, product, support, and business teams
  • Proficiency in Jira and Confluence for defect management and documentation
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, SQL, and query writing for data validation
  • Understanding of API validation using tools like Postman or Swagger
  • Experience troubleshooting web UI issues using browser developer tools
  • Ability to review application logs and provide detailed bug reports
  • Familiarity with AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, or ChatGPT for testing purposes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Solid understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt quickly across multiple projects with a self-driven attitude

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of testing assigned program modules to ensure compliance with procedural standards
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation for modules within Confluence, serving as a reliable source of truth for teams
  • Coordinate testing efforts for integrated products, ensuring compatibility and functionality across modules
  • Provide specialized testing and analysis for legacy products to ensure stability alongside modern releases
  • Engage proactively with developers, business analysts, and support teams to facilitate defect resolution via Jira
  • Execute comprehensive manual testing approaches, including black box, exploratory, heuristic, and end-to-end testing
  • Review and validate software releases and all related documentation to ensure accuracy before deployment
  • Monitor and review application logs to diagnose issues and provide detailed technical feedback
  • Utilize web troubleshooting tools such as browser developer tools to diagnose UI and integration issues
  • Stay current with industry trends, QA best practices, and advancements in AI tools relevant to testing
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance testing processes and quality standards
