About the Role: Business Analyst

We are currently seeking a Business Analyst for a contract position based in San Jose, CA, with remote flexibility. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong foundation in process analysis and business requirements gathering, particularly within ServiceNow environments. The Business Analyst will play a vital role in supporting process improvement initiatives, facilitating workshops, and documenting workflows to enhance client operations. The position requires excellent communication skills, a detail-oriented approach, and the ability to work collaboratively with technical teams and stakeholders. The successful candidate will contribute to delivering solutions that align with best practices and client expectations, ensuring seamless implementation and adoption of ServiceNow platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
• 4–7 years of experience in business analysis, process consulting, or supporting ServiceNow implementations
• Strong understanding of ServiceNow workflows including ITSM, ITAM, ITOM, and CMDB/CSDM
• Experience in requirement gathering, documentation, and testing activities in customer-facing environments
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to support configuration-first process design and future-state process modeling
• Proficiency in facilitating workshops and developing process documentation

Responsibilities

• Support process analysis, gap assessment, and future-state design sessions to optimize workflows on the ServiceNow platform
• Assist in gathering business requirements from stakeholders and translating them into functional specifications and user stories
• Contribute to customer workshops, guiding clients towards configuration-based solutions aligned with ServiceNow best practices
• Support testing activities by reviewing functional outputs, coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensuring deliverables meet client expectations
• Prepare comprehensive process documentation, user stories, acceptance criteria, and customer-facing materials to facilitate delivery and adoption
• Collaborate with technical teams and engagement managers to ensure smooth project implementation, issue resolution, and consistent progress
